The beginning of the Bike-season in Saalbach Hinterglemm is a bit different this year, but should not detract from the pleasure on two wheels. The offer is as large and extensive as usual. WETTERKREUZ TOUR
One of the most comfortable circular tours leads to lofty heights. With the Reiterkogel cable car you can start your tour. A forest path leads to the Reiteralm including the loading station. The altitude level to the Wetterkreuz reservoir rises steadily and is very easy to master with motorized support. If you are still looking for a challenge, take the steep turnoff to the summit cross. A rest at the Rosswaldhütte on the way back should not be missed. Back to the valley you can take the cable car or the Blue Line.
E-FREERIDE ROUND
Approximately 500 metres of altitude have to be overcome on the way from the centre of Saalbach to the middle station of the Schattberg X-Press. The first section along the promenade is pleasant, then a long forest path leads uphill in serpentines. Now you can either continue with the Schattberg gondola and experience the complete freeride route X-Line or you can directly enter the lower section.
E-TYROL
Although the difficulty remains low, this tour has it all. 40,7 km in length, over six hours of biking time and more than 2,000 metres of altitude have to be mastered. That sounds powerful, but the ascents are limited and can be mastered even easier with the support of the cable car. Via the Kohlmais cable car you take the Panorama Trail, then it goes via Wirtsalm and Burgeralm to Tyrol. The gravel cycle path to Pfaffenschwendt leads to Hochfilzen, then you take the next section towards Leogang. The Asitzbahn now leads to the Uphill Trail Schönleitenweg before returning to Saalbach via the ski route and forest road. The Monti Trail or another forest road takes you back to the centre of the village.
